After a four-game road trip that saw Ball State Men's Tennis go 1-3, the team returned home to secure a 5-2 win, their first since January 24th.
Regardless of their win, Ball State has yet to find consistent success in doubles play.
Today, the Cardinals dropped all of their double matches, including the Mid-American Conference (MAC)-honored duo of the week, graduate student Eli Herran and duos partner redshirt junior Sajin Smith.
Due to these loses, Ball State picked up their first point against them in the meet.
In singles, the Cardinals won all but one match.
Junior Nathaniel Webster and Smith secured wins in straight sets along with graduate student Vince Orlando and sophomore Broc Fletcher.
Herran and junior Mason Tran each took their single games to three sets.
Herran came out on top after losing the first set 6-2. Tran secured a 6-4 win in his second set but lost the match due to losing the first and third sets 6-3.
Ball State hits the road again Friday, Feb. 16 to face IUPUI at noon.
