MUNCIE, Ind. --- Minnetrista Museum & Gardens hosted an installment of a female-centric workshop 'Girlhood (It’s Complicated)’ on September 14.
Over the last few months, the installment of 'Girlhood (It’s Complicated)' has traveled through a variety of museums, inspiring young girls and women all throughout the country. Once the installment hit Muncie, they collaborated with Girl Scouts of Indiana and G.R.O.W. (Growing Remarkable Opportunities with Women) to host a community workshop. Girls over the age of 9 could go and see the exhibit and be led through a lesson with G.R.O.W..
“We are a business that supports female entrepreneurs and women in business to grow and start their own businesses," organizers Brittany Scott and River Linn said. "This, impacting the community because when women are empowered to build business, to make money, and support their family... it empowers the community to grow as well.”
After Sept. 17, the exhibit will be moving to Cincinnati Museum Center for four months before continuing throughout the country for the rest of its tours.
