MUNCIE, IND.---- On Wednesday, Ball State University hosted their Cardinal Career Fair inside Worthen Arena. Students had the opportunity to meet with employers, receive help with their resumes and build connections for the future.
Although the career fair takes place every semester, there was a new spin this time. Now, there is a new app connected to the career fair.
Jim McAtee, the vice president and executive for career and professional development, has seen the changes connect employers and students together.
“One of the other changes that we’ve made is that we have a new app from Cardinal Career Link that helps students connect with employers. They can go on the app and they can search for where those employers are around the concourse and they can actually highlight those employers.”
The new app, Simplicity, allows employers to login and post jobs. Also, allows students to find those jobs and other internships available. If students were unable to attend the career fair, there will be more opportunities in the future, including another career fairvduring the second semester.
