Delaware County 911 Dispatch received a call for multiple people shot in the area of S. Hackley St. and E. Willard St. at 1:14 a.m. on July 30, according to a City of Muncie press release.
One 30-year-old male has been confirmed deceased.
The Muncie Police Department along with Muncie Fire/EMS responded to the scene, the initial information was that there was a large party at this location.

Due to the number of victims, multiple agencies were contacted to assist. These agencies assisted at the initial scene, at IU/BMH Hospital and also continued incoming calls.
Multiple victims are receiving treatment at local hospitals and more critical patients were airlifted to other facilities, according to the report.
All scenes are contained and there is no immediate threat to public safety, this is an ongoing investigation.
