After entering the transfer portal March 16, sophomore center Payton Sparks has committed to play at Indiana University, he announced on Twitter this morning.
Sparks averaged 13.3 points and 8.7 rebounds this season while accumulating 29 blocks and 59 assists. He was named to the All-Mid-American Conference (MAC) Second Team this season as the Cardinals went 20-12 (11-7 MAC) and lost to Ohio 90-70 in the first round of the MAC Tournament – the Cardinals second-consecutive first round exit from the postseason.
The Hoosiers went 23-12 (12-8 BIG) this season, finishing second in the Big Ten Conference while falling to Penn State in the semifinal of the conference tournament. The Hoosiers were given the No. 4 seed in the NCAA Tournament and went on to defeat the MAC Champions Kent State in the first round before falling to Miami (FL) in the second round.
