MUNCIE, INDIANA— The Asian Student Union (ASU) is hosting a speed-friending game night for Ball State students to participate in and for new members to get to know each other. This is the organization's first event for the new year.
The ASU purpose is to provide an educational and cultural experience to all Asian and Asian American history.
ASU sponsors and host’s many events throughout the school year and holds weekly meetings at the Multicultural center every Monday.
“This Union is a place where you can meet new people around campus with the same heritage and cultural background as you,” Avila said. “It helped me a lot this year to make new friends coming in as a freshman.”
The Union’s primary goal is to strengthen the campus environment’s cultural appreciation. ASU wants all Ball State students to feel welcomed and proud of their heritage.
ASU is providing many other events throughout February like Boba night, a valentine's day social and a K-pop night.
“These activities create a really fun opportunity to meet some really cool student’s around campus,” Avila said.
“I joined ASU because I knew it would be a place with great acceptance and cool new opportunities.”
All activities and events provided by the ASU are free to all Ball State students.
