MUNCIE, Ind.--- In honor of the Ball State’s Homecoming week activities, today's special event included the Food Truck Festival.
This event took place today, Oct. 17, from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. in The Village by the Foundational Science Building. This was a one time event for the year, but if you want to see an inside view of the event, check out @bsuhomecoming on their Instagram page.
At the festival, they had food truck options to choose from, this included A Team Concessions, The Downtown Farm stand, Grand Grilling, Karma Kitchen and The Three Bears Concessions. Not only did they have food trucks, but also live music by DJ Porter for the audiences’ entertainment. With these great options, they weren’t done yet. They also had interactive games like human size cup pong.
Ellie Hearne is a Ball State student on the Homecoming Committee who expressed her feelings about this event.
“I'm most excited, just the feeling of the community that we have here today. We worked really hard to put together and I'm so excited to see the great turnout, even the cloudy and snowy weather. I am also excited to try the Karma Kitchen, I've heard really good things.” Hearne said.
Eliza Leffler, a Ball State student, voiced her excitement for the festival.
“I'm looking forward, obviously, to eat good food. I haven't had anything yet but I've had Farm Stand over there before and it's really good and I think I'm gonna get their bacon grilled cheese,” Leffler said.
Bee Daugherty, a Ball State student, attended the festival and enjoyed the music.
“I really like the music and the food’s really cute but it’s really cold,” Daugherty said.
If you missed the Homecoming Village Food Truck Festival, tomorrow they will be hosting a Student Scholarship Talent Search at 7:30 p.m in Pruis Hall. To see more future events go check out @bsuhomecoming on Instagram for the remaining week activities.
