The 14th annual Fam Fest, hosted by Meridian Health Services, is scheduled for July 14 from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at Southside Middle School in Muncie, Indiana. Fam Fest- Back to School- is a yearly event aimed at families to promote health, wellness, family fun, safety, community resources and the prevention of child abuse.
At Fam Fest, there is scheduled to be a Health & Fun Fair and Safety Town, along with free health screenings, school physicals, COVID vaccines, immunizations for all ages, community vendors, games, prizes, activities & inflatables, food and drinks (while supplies last) and musical entertainment. As part of the Health & Fun Fair, health screenings may include but are not limited to, blood pressure readings, flexibility testing, vision screening and pulse oxygen readings, among others.
At Safety Town, sponsored by the American Electric Power Foundation, participants (mainly children) may learn how to be safe within their communities. According to the event's website, "Kids can cruise through a miniature version of Muncie while learning about traffic safety and what it takes to be good citizens."
