Tonight: There is a Flood Watch currently in effect from 7pm tonight until late Thursday evening. Make sure to keep this in mind during your commutes tomorrow. If you come across any major flooding, make good decisions and maybe turn around and find a new route! Tonight's low is 50 degrees with winds out of the southwest at 20 mph with gust up to 35 mph.
Tomorrow: As heavy precipitation starts early tomorrow morning and continues into the day, we are tracking not only rainfall, but as temperatures start to drop, we will see some mixed precipitation as well as possible snow! The snow will not accumulate much, with totals only up to an inch. The most impactful type of precipitation we will see tomorrow will be rain. We are expecting around 1.5 inches of rainfall to accumulate in Muncie and the surrounding areas before all is said and done tomorrow evening. We are hoping any travel impacts clear up by Friday morning but until then please drive safely as impacts to travel will be high for both the morning and evening commutes on Thursday.
7 Day Forecast: As temperatures fall throughout Thursday we will see a cold Friday and Saturday. Temperatures turn back around at the start of next week into the mid 50s, bringing more chances for precipitation with them!
