MUNCIE, Ind. (NewsLink) -- Ball State Women's Soccer kicked off their MAC home opener Thursday, Sept. 23 at 4 p.m. against Eastern Michigan.
The women persevered through double overtime. They were unable to score and ended the night 0-0, leaving the women with a 2-4-1 record. Despite the lack of score, tonight's match-up was a step up from their last home game, when they fell to the Butler Bulldogs.
The women looked to better their performance and maintained control of the ball for the majority of the game. Allowing them to shoot 14 goals, six of which were on goal. The team was unable to move past their defensive woes, being caught offside six times.
This Sunday, the women will head out to face off against Central Michigan. The Chippewas are currently coming off a loss against Miami of Ohio, which is their only game against a fellow MAC contender.
