Applications for the Ball State student trustee position are open through March 1.

Applicants are encouraged to attend an information session to learn more about the requirements and priveleges of the job. The information sessions will be hosted by the student government association (SGA) over Zoom Feb. 12 and 15.

Once SGA and the Student Trustee Screening Committee decide on a worthy list of candidates, Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb will appoint an applicant to the Board of Trustees by June 2021.

The student trustee serves for a two-year term and must be a full-time student for the duration of the term.

Student trustees must attend bi-monthly Board of Trustees meetings and fill committee positions where appropriate. The trustee must be an Indiana resident and be in good standing with the university.

At the time of application, student trustee applicants must have at least a 2.5 GPA and submit two letters of recommendation.
