“Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout” has sold over 10 million copies on PC after three months on the platform according to a recent financial report from Unity.
That makes the battle royale platformer the most successful release by publisher Devolver Digital ahead of “Hotline Miami” and “Enter the Gungeon,” and — according to Unity — it has also become the most-downloaded title in Playstation Plus history.
This was not the only good news Unity announced in their third quarter financial report. The software developer also shared its revenue between July and September of this year increased by 53% compared to the same time in 2019.
“We are very pleased to start our public company journey with such a strong quarter,” said Chief Financial Officer Kim Jabal. “Our robust growth has reinforced our confidence in the fundamental strength of our business model, and in the long-term opportunity that we see ahead.”
Following a hot release in early August that saw the concurrent peak in players top 170,000 on Steam, Mediatonic’s battle royale platformer has been on a steady decline in interest. Over the last thirty days, the game has amassed a quarter of its initial group at any one time; subsequent spikes have only come around the release of season two.
Mediatonic hopes that the recent mid-season patch — including a new round, variations for other mini games like Tip Toe and Perfect Match, and multiple bug fixes — will pique interest in its flagship title once again.
