MUNCIE, Ind.(NewsLink) -- Ball State University and the Indiana Immunization Coalition Inc. are working together to provide all students and staff with free vaccines.
Despite being free, students at BSU had mixed emotions.
“I am getting a flu shot because I want to be safe for myself and make sure everyone around me is safe, a lot is going on in the world so I just want to be safe,” BSU student Marshawn Porter said.
One of Porter’s peers, Rachel Stinger, also shared this same perspective.
“I usually get it every year, regardless of COVID. Just as a way to stay safe,” Stinger said.
While students like Porter and Stinger will be using this free opportunity, others aren’t too sure about it.
“I know a lot of people who have gotten a flu shot and it’s not really effective,” BSU student Hayley Hines said.
If you would like to use this opportunity to get a free flu vaccine, the clinic will be held once again Friday from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm. Make sure to enter through gate one at Worthen Arena.
