Sweater weather is finally here! With high temperatures only reaching the upper 60s today, it definitely felt more like fall! In Muncie, we were 8 degrees below average with a high of 68 degrees. We can expect below average temperatures to continue for the next few days as a cooler air mass from Canada makes its way to the viewing area. This high pressure system brings with it drier conditions and cooler temperatures!
Tonight: Tonight, we can expect a much colder September night than what we've been seeing. Low temperatures end up in the lower 40s, and with the possibility for some places in the north of the viewing area to see lows in the 30s! Considering our average high this time of year is in the 50s, tonight will feel quite cold! In fact, Grant, Blackford, and Jay counties are all under a Frost Advisory tonight. Frost is possible as low temperatures could reach the mid to upper 30s. Make sure to take any plants inside! Stay warm!
Tomorrow: This weekend will be absolutely beautiful! For both Saturday and Sunday, expect high temperatures in the mid to upper 60s! We start of quite cold in the 40s, so make sure to have a jacket if you are planning on being outside. We warm to the upper 50s by noon, and top off in the mid 60s! It will be sunny with light northeasterly winds, so make sure to get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather!
7-day: There are no rain chances in the 7 day forecast! We remain dry, with plenty of sunshine to kick off the first week of fall! Expect a warm up towards the middle of next week, with temperatures climbing into the upper 70s. It will be a perfect week to be outside and enjoy the fall-like weather!
