MUNCIE, Ind. (NewsLink)-- Muncie Central senior Jagger Scott feels fortunate to have his cross-country season amidst the coronavirus pandemic.
One of the team’s coaches, Tacoma Archuleta, has noticed an increased level of interest by Scott, considering the uncertainty the future holds.
“I’ve been pretty excited for Jagger,” Archuleta said of the three-sport student athlete.
While he does participate in multiple sports, the unpredictability of winter and spring seasons this year has led to an increased interest on behalf of Scott.
“This season he seems to really be buying in,” Archuletta added.
Along with prematurely ending spring sports earlier this year, COVID-19 also prevented Scott and the Muncie Central cross-country team from having their annual summer conditioning.
The inability to have summer practices was unfortunate entering Scott’s senior season.
“If I would’ve started sooner, I would have had a way higher chance to have a recruiter come look at me,” Scott stated.
His senior season will continue at the Randolph Southern Invitational this Saturday.
