MUNCIE, Ind.(NewsLink) -- The Ball State Gymnastics team has had a strong season and still have some meets to look forward to. Their record currently stands at 8-4 as they are lead to success by Head Coach Saleem.
“It's impressive to see how she is really developing the young gymnasts and bringing them all together,” stated Ball State Athletic Director Beth Goetz.
Saleem discussed how she really wanted to stress that gymnastics at Ball State is all about the process and the journey.
“It’s such a subjective sport. You could have had your best performance and still not have gotten the score you want. We really want them to know it’s all about what we did to prepare and how hard we worked,” explained the coach.
The hard work is paying off. The Lady Cardinals have not only performed well in all events, but even broke a school record with their floor routines with the help of their choreographer, Jacob Drummer.
The Ball State gymnastics team will compete again on Sunday, March 1 at 2 p.m. at Northern Illinois University.
