The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory lasting from Monday afternoon until Tuesday morning.
The warning states two to three inches of total snow accumulation and dramatically colder temperatures are expected during this period in portions of central, east central and north central Indiana.
It states temperatures will drop quickly Monday night, with wind chills by Tuesday morning being as low as 5 below zero.
Rapidly-falling temperatures Monday evening and overnight, it states, may lead to flash-freezing conditions with roads remaining icy through Tuesday morning.
The advisory asks drivers to plan for slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions, it states, could impact evening commute.
The advisory lasts from 1 p.m. Monday to 8 a.m. Tuesday.
