MUNCIE, Ind. (NewsLink) - Students aren’t the only ones who have to face the harsh cold this winter season. The animals at ARF find themselves stuck in cages all winter because of little volunteer help there.
The number of volunteers decreases in the winter due to the weather and the holiday season. People become too busy to help the animals.
However, in the winter, if you don’t feel like walking these animals, you can have cuddle time with the cats and dogs in a cuddle room at Jeff’s house, where the dogs are kept at ARF. The Jeff House was named after Jeff Ross who passed away due to cancer.
An employee at ARF, Nicki Kirby said that one way you can really help these animals this winter season is by donating canned cat and dog food, and blankets or towels.
There are a lot of ways you can help animals at ARF. If you want to learn of more ways to help out ARF call them at (765) 282-2733.
