MUNCIE, Ind.(NewsLink) - Ball State will be hosting the upcoming Bands of America Central Indiana Regional Championship.
Ball State was chosen to host the event for the first time in history.
The event hosts 27 different marching bands from all across Indiana. Ball State’s marching band, The Pride of Mid-America, will be performing as the exhibition group.
Caroline Hand, director of The Pride of Mid-America, explained that she was excited for the event because it is bringing attention to both the marching band and Ball State.
“It’s amazing exposure for our band and for Ball State,” Hand said.
Hand has been director for the past five years and looks forward to the event. The event begins on Oct. 5th at 8 a.m. and is being held at Scheumann Stadium. Tickets will be available for purchase at the box office starting this Saturday.
