MUNCIE, Ind. (NewsLink) — Ball State’s Cross Country team is looking forward to the first and only home meet of the season.
The squad is coming back from a 14th place finish, out of 39, at the Louisville Cross Country Classic
Six out of Ball State’s eight runners posted best times at the meet. Senior Maritza Rodriguez was the lead finisher for Ball State with the fastest 5K time since 2009.
Junior Cayla Eckenroth said she hopes that this meet will serve as a tune-up for the fast approaching MAC championship on Nov. 2.
“It might not be the biggest meet, so we will be able to go out and, like, dominate the course and, like, really show what we've got to our competition,” said Eckenroth.
The meet will take place at Elks Country Club at 4:45 p.m. on Oct. 19.
