MUNCIE, Ind.(NewsLink) - Ball State’s Cardinal Kitchen kicked off its annual outreach program that occurs on the last three Tuesdays of the month to provide essentials for students who need it.
Cardinal Kitchen is a student-run program that provides students and their families with food, toiletries and other essential items.
Graduate assistant Taylor Thomas is in charge of the program and believes that many students are afraid they will face judgment by going to the center.
“It’s a really welcoming environment, people come, get their food, and they leave, it’s really as simple as that,” said Thomas.
Cardinal Kitchen is celebrating their fifth year on Ball State’s campus and is looking forward to many more years of helping students meet their needs.
This program is open from 5 to 8 p.m. the last three Tuesdays of the month in the Multicultural Center.
