The Ball State University Police Department (UPD) had its annual Dunk-a-Cop event Thursday at the Scramble Light.
Students who came out to the event could purchase three balls for $1, get an automatic dunk for $5 or get two automatic dunks for $10, said CPL Travis Stephens.
All proceeds from the event will go to Riley Children's Hospital.
The event also allowed students to register their bikes and get a chance to win a “U-lock,” Stephens said.
Students who missed the event and still need to register their bikes can do so on Ball State’s website.
Stephens said community outreach events gave UPD a chance to meet students, give to a good cause and get their programs out into the community.
