A section of Riverside Avenue will be closed for a month due to construction work on the new Health Professions Building.
The section between Martin Street and Dicks Street will be closed to all traffic from 6 a.m. July 1 to 5 p.m. Aug. 9 for building a median installation and pedestrian crossings, a campus-wide traffic notice email states.
A temporary detour for vehicles traveling on Riverside Avenue will be through University Avenue via Dicks Street and McKinley Avenue. The pedestrian detour next to Sursa Performance Hall will still be open.

Kelly Knable, director of construction with Ball State facilities planning and management, said signage will be posted to direct pedestrians and vehicles.
The Health Professions Building, a $62.5 million building project, will house all health-related programs in the university.
The building will be open for use when classes begin fall 2019.
