Ball State students and faculty won four Emmys at the 50th Annual Emmy Awards gala presented by the national Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Lower Great Lakes Chapter.
The winners coming from Ball State Sports Link and WIPB were announced at the gala held June 15 at the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel in Cleveland, Ohio — attended by over 500 broadcasting industry professionals, according to the chapter's website.
Ball State Sports Link won two Emmys — one in the Sports Program category and one in the Sports - Documentary category. WIPB won in the Nostalgia Program - Program/Special/Series category and the Director-Non-Live category.
Excluding the winning categories, Ball State students and faculty also had six other nominations.
