Delaware county, along with 54 other counties, is under a tornado watch until 5 p.m. Thursday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
A tornado watch is issued "when conditions are favorable for the development of tornadoes in and close to the watch area," according to the NWS website. Residents of the county should review tornado safety rules and move to a place of safety if "threatening weather approaches."
