MUNCIE, Ind. (NewsLink)-It’s Random Acts of Kindness Week, and Ball State is giving back to their students with some career advice. Dialogue Days is a two-day event held February 20-21 in the Whitinger Business Building. Over 75 Ball State alumni from across the nation returned to campus to offer some insight on their career and share advice based on their experiences.
A wide range of industries were present, but the presentations are not limited to job fields alone. Other topics such as how to network, developing professional relationships, and even financial planning were offered.
The event aimed to help current students by allowing them to ask questions and showed students their future potential in the field they choose as it relates to getting a job. Not only job advice, but life advice is offered as well. Sabrina Phillips, a sophomore at Ball State University said she took away one big thing from this event.
“Currently, in my job I am a manager, so like I take in a lot of this information and it helps me become a better person through that career choice," Phillips said. "Also just in daily life, like, understanding how to make connections with people and how to be a better person. It’s not only just for business, but I think it’s also for your normal, everyday life,”
