With repairs for the damaged fieldhouse floor expected to be approved tomorrow, the community is looking forward to having the landmark restored.
The roof repairs were approved earlier in the year, costing the Muncie School Board about $579,000 according to Interim Superintendent Steve Edwards, but have yet to begin.
Edwards said while the bid is not official, he expected floor repairs to cost around $200,000.
Between the roof and floor repairs, the fieldhouse's restoration would take around 14 to 16 weeks before the fieldhouse would be ready to house visitors again.
The school board is expected to formally accept a bid on Tuesday, December 11th, during their meeting.
