New season. New plan. The Burris girls volleyball team has been extremely dominant this season as they head into the tougher part of their schedule.
Head coach Mike Dodrill believes that this year the camaraderie on the roster has helped the team improve from years past and the chemistry between the group has gotten much better.
“I thought we as a group needed to be a better team than last year. We’ve devoted every Saturday to some sort of team bonding if we’re not playing a tournament,” said Dodrill.
In order to enhance the chemistry and leadership on this year’s roster Dodrill and 10 members of the team attended a leadership camp.
Dodrill’s message to the girls was that if they wanted to get to a higher level, then they needed to work together and do things that they have never done before.
The leadership and camaraderie is showing through this season and the owls will look to keep that winning streak going as they get closer and closer to the conference tournament.
