Driver runs stop sign, causes crash, car into house

A multi-car collision in the area of North Cherry and West Main streets caused one car to collide with a home. The crash occurred after one car ran a stop sign. Only minor injuries were sustained. Brynn Mechem, DN

Emergency responders were called to the area of North Cherry and West Main streets around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday on a call of collision with multiple cars. 

Muncie police said the multi-car collision occurred after a car ran a stop sign, causing one car to crash into a house and a truck to sustain damage. 

The home owner said she was upstairs when she heard a "kaboom."

"All I saw was a car into my house," the home owner of 14-years said. 

Muncie Fire Department was working to stabilize the home's front porch before the car was towed away.

Police said the driver who ran the stop sign had "minor injuries." The other drivers involved were not injured.
