One campus employer is looking to hire and schedule students for a new job all in one afternoon.
Ball State Dining will hold a hiring blitz Thursday from 1:30-4:30 p.m. in the Art and Journalism Building.
To apply for a position in Dining or University Catering, students must follow a number of steps:
- Get a referral form for job No. 55 from the Career Center.
- Bring the form and a copy of a class schedule to the Art and Journalism Building’s studio room, which is to the right of the building’s north-facing doors.
- Return to the Career Center to complete tax forms if hired.
Dining is Ball State’s largest student employer with over 700 students, Suzanne Clem, Dining’s marketing coordinator, said in an email.
Employees also earn more than minimum wage at $7.45 per hour with possible longevity raises.
The hiring blitz, Clem said, benefits both employers and students, since it sets up a central location for communication instead of making students set up separate meetings with Dining in Carmichael Hall.
