Pierre Robinson, 46, was arrested after police say he sold drugs to a confidential informant near campus Friday evening.

A confidential informant purchased "eight bags that all contained a white powder inside." The substance was not tested at the scene due to officer safety, according to the probable cause affidavit.

Police arrested Robinson and preliminarily charged him with dealing cocaine or a narcotic drug, and resisting law enforcement in a vehicle.

When police tried to conduct a stop on the vehicle Robinson was driving in the BP parking lot at West Centennial and Wheeling avenues, he "struck the front bumper of [the officer's vehicle] as he fled south in the parking lot," according to the probable cause affidavit.

Police were able to block the vehicle Robinson was driving and took him into custody. They recovered the money used by the confidential informant in the transaction.

Robinson, according to court documents, has two drug-related cases pending and one prior conviction on a drug dealing-related charges.

Robinson is currently being held in the Delaware County Jail without bond.
