Muncie man arrested in Dollar General robbery

Muncie police arrested Quincy Pegues, 34, Muncie, in connection to an armed robbery at Dollar General Wednesday night.

Pegues is preliminary charged with one count of robbery, a level five felony, and was booked into the Delaware County Jail.

Police received a call shortly after 9:20 p.m. Wednesday about a man who robbed at the Dollar General on Wheeling Avenue and took an unknown amount of cash.

In a probable cause affidavit, the male was described as, “a tall black male wearing a clear medical type glove, black clothing including a hooded sweatshirt and pants, and black undershorts.”

A police K-9 began to track and located the suspect in a nearby apartment complex, north of the Dollar General.

Police located clothing believed to be worn by the suspect of the robbery in the apartment's attic and cash hidden in a floor vent.

When police interviewed Pegues, he admitted to the robbery and told police where he hid his shoes and money.

He is currently being held in the Delaware County jail on a $10,000 bond.
