Another sexual assault has been reported in the 1100 block of W. Riverside Ave. The university sent out a public safety email saying the sexual assault occurred Saturday and no investigation has been requested at this time.
This comes after a sexual assault was reported last weekend in 1100 block of W. Riverside Ave.
This is now the third sexual assault report notice sent out in less than a month. Back in August, a sexual battery occurred in an on-campus residence hall, but no investigation was requested.
These three incidents come as the university is under federal investigation into the mishandling of a sexual assault that occurred during the last academic year.
“We encourage anybody that feels like they have been a victim of sexual assault to speak up," university spokesperson Kathy Wolf said. "The safety of our students is our number one priority here at Ball State.”
