Ball State women's volleyball dropped its season opener to Indiana in straight-sets, 25-13, 25-22, 25-14, on Friday night.
The Cardinals were vastly outperformed by the Hoosiers, who had a kill percentage 200 points higher than Ball State.
Kendall Beerman led the way for Indiana with 13 kills. Ball State was led by juniors Brooklyn Goodsel and Emily Holland with six kills a piece.
The Hoosiers had nine aces compared to just three for the Cardinals.
Ball State sophomore setter Amber Seaman recorded 19 assists. Indiana was led by Victoria Brisack with 35 assists.
Saturday the Cardinals are back in action against Indiana State at 10 a.m. and DePaul at 5 p.m.
