MITS bus routes that make stops on Ball State’s campus recently changed in both name and path of travel.
Ball State students traveling to the Muncie Mall or Walmart now have to make adjustments to their daily MITS bus usage due to these modifications.
The main routes that will affect Ball State students are:
Route 1
Ball State University now continues to Route 12: Ivy Tech. It runs from 6:15 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. on weekdays and 8:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. on Saturdays.
Route 14
Riverside/Rural King underwent a name change and is now called Rural King/Walmart. It runs from 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on weekdays and 8:45 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. on Saturdays.
Route 16
Walmart also underwent a name change, it is now called Walmart/Rural King. It runs from 6:45 a.m. to 9:15 p.m. on weekdays and 8:15 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. on Saturdays.
Route 4
Muncie Mall will undergo a reduction of service from every 15 minutes to every 30 minutes and now continues onto Route 9: Industry Willard. It runs from 7:15 a.m. to 8:45 p.m. on weekdays and 8:15 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. on Saturdays.
Other route changes include:
Route 9
Industry Willard for Saturday service during the hours of 8:15 a.m. to 6:03 p.m. changed from every 60 minutes to every 30 minutes.
Route 7
East Jackson now continues to Route 10: Heekin on Saturdays from 9:15 a.m. to 5:45 p.m.
MITS bus usage is free of charge for Ball State students with Cardinal IDs.
