The City of Muncie announced the appointment of Kevin Nemyer to the position of city controller.
As the city controller, Nemyer will be responsible for serving as the paymaster and chief accounting officer of the city of Muncie.
The Ball State alumnus has a master’s degree in business administration and experience in management, supervision and cost control, according to a press release. Nemyer served on the Delaware County Council as finance committee chair and the Liberty-Perry School Board where he oversaw the school corporation budget.
Most recently, Nemyer served as the assistant director of community development where he was responsible for managing all financial matters for the department and administration for all public service agencies receiving HUD grant dollars in Muncie. He was also named as the first recipient of the Thrive Community Leader Award in early June for his is commitment to the community.
