ABSO Improv Comedy Group’s first show of the year, “Homecoming,” is a chance to start this Friday night off laughing.
The show is at 7 p.m. Aug. 25 in room 175 of the Art and Journalism Building.
“Our first show is completely free, because, as always, our shows are free for the first time,” the president of ABSO Improv Comedy, Shelby Myers, said.
While the event itself was planned, the performance will be made up in the moment, like all improv theatre.
The group's short-form improvisational skits are similar to the television show “Whose Line is it Anyway?”
After the performance, ABSO will hold a meeting for prospective group members to find out more about the club and discuss things like auditions, which will be held Aug. 28 and 29 from 7 to 9 p.m.
