Board of Trustees approves North Residential Neighborhood, new departments  - July 21, 2017 

The Ball State Board of Trustees approved phase one of the new North Residential neighborhood, which is set to replace the space of the LaFollette Complex.    

The first phase of the North Residential Neighborhood, outlined in the Campus Master Plan, includes three different projects. Under this phase one new five-story residence hall, a stand-alone dining facility and road reconstruction will be built, totaling to $90 million.  ... Read more.

David Letterman donates over 1,000 items to Ball State - July 25, 2017

David Letterman’s legacy at Ball State continues to thrive as the famous late-night talk show host and alumnus donated more than 1,000 items to the university.

Letterman first announced his plans to donate his memorabilia in 2015 when he came to campus to host “Dave at Ball State” with Spike Jonze and Bennett Miller. He surprised the university community by promising to donate his entire “Late Night” and “Late Show” collection. ... Read more.

Is Ball State basketball close to returning to its former glory? - July 26, 2017

With the additions of summer transfers K.J. Walton from Missouri and Brachen Hazen from Arkansas, Ball State’s roster has eight former Indiana All-Stars. 

That’s the most one team has had since Purdue had eight during the 1998-99 season. And it means eight out of the nine Hoosiers on the Cardinals roster were at one point, considered one of the best high school basketball players in Indiana. ... Read more.

Ball State football picked to finish last in MAC media preseason poll - July 27, 2017

According to the Mid-American Conference preseason media football poll, Ball State is expected to finish last in 2017.

The poll was released on July 26 at the annual MAC Football Media Day and is determined by the league's media members. Ball State finished with 30 points, lowest in the league. ... Read more.

Ball State issues information alert of police action on Tillotson and Bethel - July 27, 2017

Ball State emergency notification services has issued an information only alert warning of police action at the intersection of Tillotson and Bethel Avenues.

The alert was sent out to students around 1:40 p.m., asking people to avoid the area. ... Read more.
