Construction contractors plan to close U.S. Highway 35 in Delaware County starting on or after July 5, according to the Indiana Department of Transportation.

The 45-day closure is being made to replace a drainage culvert, located across U.S. 35 north of Royerton between State Road 67 and State Road 28. The culvert channels Killbuck Creek.

Highway traffic will be directed around construction via State Road 28 and State Road 67, according to a news release.

INDOT awarded the construction contract to 3D Company of Muncie based on it's bid of $370,238 for the project.
