A Muncie man is behind bars after he allegedly helped a Muncie teen skip school and then allegedly raped her, according to a affidavit.
Brandon Helm, 18, was arrested on Monday on two counts of sexual misconduct with a minor. Police say that Helm solicited a 14-year-old girl to skip school and spend the day with him.
The girl told police that she agreed to skip school and go to Helm's trailer and watch Netflix. The girl told police that they began to kiss and she performed oral sex on Helm, according to the affidavit.
Helm then became too "handsy" and would not stop even after the girl asked him to, according to the affidavit. The girl told police that Helm then held her hands above her head and "vaginally raped" her in his bedroom.
The girl later told police that she told Helm she was 14 over Snapchat and told him she was in middle school on Facebook.
When police questioned Helm he admitted to picking the girl up from her house, receiving oral sex from her and having sex with her. Helm told police he thought the girl was 15-years-old and denied forcing the girl to have sex.
Helm told police that the girl was "going back and forth" about whether or not she wanted to have sex and eventually agreed.
Helm is being held in the Delaware County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
