Butter-cream filled, glazed, long john, fried cinnamon roll, caramel apple nut and Oreo cream with crushed Oreos on top — Bowman Bakery Inc. has campus doughnut lovers taken care of.
After Concannon’s Bakery decided to stop delivering doughnuts and other pastries to Ball State last semester, the university set out to find another partner to cater to campus community members.

Bowman Bakery, located in Hagerstown, now provides doughnuts to five Ball State dining locations and to Ball State’s catering department.
“All of our doughnuts are made fresh everyday by hand,” bakery owner Travis Bowman said. “The bakery is a small shop, with just a couple people working.”
Even though the shop is small, up to 5,000 doughnuts are made on a regular day.
The array of options are also large, with 185 types to choose from.
Bowman Bakery delivers regularly Monday through Friday. The specialty doughnuts are chosen randomly to be delivered during the week, but Bowman said they try to get a good mix.
The bakery might offer different types of pastries to Ball State in the future, “but for right now it is just the doughnuts,” he said.
