Nintendo facing supply concern for the NES Classic Edition console

by Lucas Miller Nintendo’s newest nostalgia-infused offering, the NES Classic Edition released November 11, and stores are having a hard time keeping up with the demand. According to Nintendo of America’s Twitter page, the company knows that the console is a “hot item,” and that they are ”working hard to keep up with demand.” The NES Classic Edition is a miniature version of the Nintendo Entertainment System, and features 30 classic games built in, as well as an updated version of the original controller. The supply problem is a serious concern, considering that the holiday season is almost upon us. However, Nintendo also addressed these concerns, promising “a steady flow of of additional systems through the holiday shopping season and into the New Year.” Finally, the company urged customers to call their local game stores to check the availability of the elusive console.
