Polar Express

5-9 p.m. Dec. 2 at Cardinal Greenways

Polar Express is an evening of old-fashioned fun and holiday celebration. Merriment abounds as young and old alike enjoy listening to carols, sipping hot cocoa and visiting with family and friends in the restored 1901 depot. Every child receives a present from Santa, and if you like, you can make a card for military men and women before you tell Santa your wishes. Everyone is welcome to this free event.

The Christmas Star

Multiple days and times at Charles W. Brown Planetarium

Over the years, many people have tried to explain the appearance of the Star of Bethlehem, as described in the Bible. Can the star be explained as an exploding star, a comet or some other natural event in the sky? Potential natural explanations for the Star of Bethlehem and common modern-day misconceptions will be discussed at this free event.
