Surane’s strong weekend performance aided the No. 8 Cardinals (20-6, 12-2 MIVA) in wins against Quincy University (18-20, 4-10 MIVA) and Lindenwood University (4-16, 2-12 MIVA). Surane led the Cardinals both nights in kills with 14 against Quincy and 11 against Lindenwood.
The Lockport, Ill., native previously won the award on March 22 after again leading the Cardinals in kills. Surane tallied 13 in a win against in-state rival IPFW, followed by 22 in a win against UC Irvine.
Surane is 10th in the MIVA and leads Ball State with 243 kills.
The Cardinals finish off the regular season with away matches at No.13 Lewis University April 8 and No.12 Loyola University April 9. Both games will start at 7 p.m.
