MUNCIE, IN (WCRD Weather) -- Indiana Severe Weather Preparedness Week continued on Tuesday with a statewide test tornado warning and drill. These drills took place at 10:15 in the morning and 7:35 in the evening. The purpose of these drills was to allow families, businesses, and schools to practice their severe weather action plans. Part of that action plan is knowing the difference between a watch and a warning, and what to do in the event a watch or warning is issued. The key word to a severe weather warning is action. When a warning is issued you need to take action, severe weather is occurring. For more information about severe weather warnings, check out Adam and I's report below.
Stay tuned all this week for more severe weather preparation information each night during Live @ 5. Also don't forget to tune in to the Severe Weather Special following Live @ 5, starting at 5:30 this Friday.
