Before the 2015-16 men's basketball season began, Ball State was picked to finish last in the Mid-American Conference by the MAC preseason poll.

Ball State finished its season on March 23 in a 67-69 loss to Columbia in the quarterfinal match of the CollegeInsider.com Invitational Tournament.

Since the loss, Twitter has been abuzz with reactions from players, students and alumni.

Some players including freshman forward Trey Moses were disappointed with the loss.

Even with the loss, sophomore guard Jeremie Tyler shared his love with his teammates on social media.

Junior guard Kaleb Mallory went as far as calling his teammates his brothers.

Support was shared by other student athletes as well, including fellow athletes like senior linebacker Sean Wiggins.

Even fellow students joined the conversation on social media, like senior sports administration major Matthew Johnson.

Former Ball State students have been following the Cardinals run in the CIT. Ball State alumnus Bill Landgraf commented after the Cardinals' 83-80 win over the University of Tennessee Martin.

Landgraff also commented on the team's season as a whole after its loss to Columbia.

With the loss, the Cardinals finished the season 21-14, which was the first time the program finished with more than 20-wins since the 2001-02 season.

Ball State will say goodbye to four seniors as the team transitions into the 2016-17 season.
