A victory would secure the Cardinals' first outright MAC West title since the 2001-02 season, as well as Ball State's first 20-win season since that same season.
Ball State has won four out of its last five games, including a record-setting night in its last game against Eastern Michigan.
Central Michigan has won two in a row but trails Ball State by one game in the MAC West.
The Cardinals won the last matchup between the two schools on Feb. 13, 75-63.
Projected to finish last in the West in the preseason poll, the Cardinals have posted one of the biggest turnarounds in the National Collegiate Athletic Association.
Tonight's game will be Senior Night for Ball State and they will be honoring seniors Bo Calhoun, Jeremiah Davis and Nate Wells. In the last game against Central Michigan, Calhoun scored 22 and grab 14 rebounds.
After winning the rebounding battle in their last five games, head coach James Whitford said the Cardinals really put an emphasis on pulling down boards.
“Rebounding not only breaks the other team, but it gets us more possessions,” he said.
More possessions means a chance to score more points, which Whitford says is “all about efficiency.”
Ball State is coming off a game where they out-rebounded Eastern Michigan 47-30 and scored 26 second-chance points. The Cardinals scored 115 points, tied for the fifth most in program history.
Tipoff against Central Michigan is set for 7 p.m. at Worthen Arena.
