After the heavy rain on Feb. 24 lets up later in the day, it will change to snow — with about 1 to 2 inches of predicted accumulation during the night, according to NWS. Gusty wind will cause some drifting of the snow, and roadways may become slick.
The Indiana Department of Transportation warned drivers of the blowing snow, and cautioned them to be careful. Blowing snow can lead to decreased visibility, which can cause crashes.
On Feb. 25, NWS predicts another 1-2 inches of accumulation.
