Marvel announced new additions to the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 cast in a press release--a list that included Kurt Russell.

The press release announced the full cast for the upcoming sequel. The star-studded cast sees the return of Chris Pratt as Peter Quill, Dave Bautista as Drax, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot and Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket.
Also joining the cast are Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki and Chris Sullivan. Their roles in the film are currently unknown.
It was also revealed that principle photography has begun in Atlanta. The film is scheduled to be released on May 17, 2017.
