Weekend Schedule

Fri, Jan 29 - at New Jersey Institute of Technology @ 7 p.m.

Sat, Jan 30 - at George Mason @ 7 p.m.

The Cardinals, who are in the midst of a six-game road trip, are coming off two consecutive losses to Penn State and Saint Francis dropping to 3-3 on the season.

Cardinals freshman libero Adam Wessel leads the team in digs per set at 2.44. NJIT setter Cameron Tait leads the Highlanders with 73 set assists on the season, averaging 7.3 assists per set through three games. Wessel and the Cardinals will have to find a way to disrupt the Highlander’s offense.

In the most recent matchup between the Cardinals and the Highlanders during the 2014 season, Ball State fell in four sets.

Junior outside attacker Brendan Surane leads the team with 67 total kills on the season, with an average of 3.35 kills per set. But George Mason had a powerful outside attacker as well in Christian Malias, who leads the Patriots with 53 kills and an average of 3.31 kills per set.

Last season, the Patriots traveled to Muncie where they swept the Cardinals. In the loss, sophomore middle attacker Matt Walsh led the Cardinals with 10 kills on 16 attempts.

Ball State returns to Worthen Arena Feb. 11 when they host Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne.
